位于狮城热带岛屿西北部的榜鹅水路离开城市中心最远，也正是夕阳散步的最佳好去处之一。青葱翠绿拥抱静谧河流，在某些俯瞰全景(panorama)的角落，更是呈现清晰的丛河一体的反射景像，看了无不感到心旷神怡。
河路岸边仍进行着此起彼落的建屋工程，对我而言不仅没恶杀夕阳水路的气氛，建筑起重机高耸登天的姿势更像是努力牵着漫落夕阳的尾巴。友人说，等到组屋项目完成，居民—窝蜂住进来，届时幽静榜鹅公园也许将被东海岸公园式的热闹人潮，忙碌商家给取而代之。
对一群大众而言，建筑工地也许仅仅同等吵杂声、尘土飞扬。然而，建筑工地的存在也何尝不作为一种社会提醒？提醒此处一带即将迎合华丽发展而改头换面，提醒你赶快探访来追溯你的地方回忆，提醒你要观赏夕阳美景无须冒着生命危险、荷包资源到曼谷普吉岛。仿佛黄昏结束前，倦鸟归巢前提醒你要珍惜失去—天前该把握的一切。
很多美景，远在他国，近在故乡。可能故乡的景色在感观刺激上有别于著名旅游胜地，但在故乡观景多了一份自豪感和归属感，是任何地方图像都捕捉不到的感觉。

Have you ever been to Punggol Waterways to take a stroll? Perhaps, during sunset hours? It's beautiful. The lush greeneries along the Waterway and quiet river flow will put a peaceful smile on your face. At certain corners, you get an exhilirating panoramic view of the trees reflected clearly on the river surface.
As you stroll along the Waterway, you'll notice many work-in-progress construction site. These human-initiated work don't exactly 'spoil' the natural habitat in this green environment, I feel. My friend commented that when these housing projects are completed, residents are going to flock this whole estate - quiet strolls like these might become a memory of the past in no time.
I feel that the very presence of these construction sites serve as a reminder to the society at large. These projects are present because they are part of the products of speedy national development. When developments are completed, the original facet and feel of this very place might be transformed beyond recognition. They remind you to visit these places and recollect your memories before they are fully developed. They also remind you that there are awesome sceneries in Singapore and you don't necessary have to spend money risk your life fly to Phuket Island to enjoy sunset views.
True, some of the sceneries in Singapore may be very different from what they have in other countries. I feel it's about the perspectives at which you appreciate the views in Singapore. The uniquely Singapore thing is, beautiful sceneries here make you feel proud of this place, and they make you feel belonged.
Before these constructions projects are fully completed, go cherish them. Just like how every sunset is a fond reminder to us, to cherish every single moment in our every day.
